A Holly Jolly and Inclusive Holiday Season
Happy Holidays Everyone!
I hope that everyone is taking the time to prepare for the holidays for those who celebrate. While we’re on the topic of the holiday season, let’s talk about the true meaning of the holidays: inclusion.
Because of the pandemic, a lot of us had to stay home, decrease our commute and struggled with things like depression, grief, change of routine, and even not being able to hang out with your buddies like you’re used to. Even traveling to malls and stores can be a lot for us, especially getting gifts for a buddy. Here are some good ways to stay connected with your buddy during the holiday season.
Have virtual holiday gatherings
Send each other cards (E-Cards or traditional)
Wear matching PJs + take cute pics
Host a holiday watch party (Teleparty is a great extension to use)
Exchange wishlists
Send encouragement
Plan a holiday themed outing with your buddy
Be kind
So even with all of these fun, exciting gifts and parties and gatherings, remember to be inclusive especially during the holiday season. Kindness and inclusivity goes a long way and when you incorporate both, you will make the world a better place.
May everyone have a wonderful holiday season and know that you are loved and I’m so proud of you for making it to another year.
