Summer Plans with Your Buddy
It's official! In many schools and programs across the country, the school year has come to an end and temperatures are getting warmer. Now, it's time to celebrate the summer! You might be naturally thinking: what should I do this summer with my buddy? Here are some ideas I have for you to make the most out of your summer with your buddy.
1. First, call your buddy and plan to do an activity together! For example, you could go for a walk in a nearby park or even host a picnic together. For me and my buddy, we like to pick up Pub Subs from Publix and enjoy the nice weather out!
2. Book a trip with your buddy! If both of you have the free time and resources, travelling can be an awesome way for you to build a closer relationship with your buddy or another friend. Whether it's a road trip to another state or a trip out of the country, the possibilities are endless!
3. Go to the pool or lake with your buddy! Since pools are officially open after Memorial Day, now is the time for you to enjoy them with your friends. If you are outdoors with your buddy, just remember to bring some water and sunscreen since summers are hot!
4. If it's too hot to go outside, you and your buddy can do something indoors by visiting the mall! There is so much to do in the mall, from seeing a movie at the theater there to going shopping for new summer clothes.
5. If you would like to arrange an activity for a bigger group, consider hosting a sleepover at someone's house! You could also have a group dinner at a local restaurant or even start a book club for a more continuous activity you can do together. Above all, when in a larger group setting, make sure that nobody feels left out of the activity you are doing. Always make sure that your space is inclusive and inviting!
I hope that these tips will help you with having a more engaging summer with your buddy. There is so much to do this summer before you head back to school or work!
